Action Steps Toward Successful Fundraising

LaramoreA  Center for Congregations workshop on funding is creating a buzz in local congregations.

Text-to-give, conversation, strategy development, consistency, finance seminars and mission and vision considerations are all on the minds of central and northwest Indiana congregational leaders as they start taking steps toward improving their fundraising efforts.

Executive strategist and non-profit leader Aimée Laramore explores strategy and action for congregations. She led the Center for Congregations workshop Funding Your Ministry Projects earlier this year in Indianapolis and Crown Point. The Center is bringing Laramore back to talk about fundraising in Evansville, Seymour and Fort Wayne over the next several months.

Action Steps
Congregational leaders registered for this Center workshop hoping to find ways to improve, enhance and supplement their fundraising and stewardship efforts. Participants reported that their learning goals were met, and that they had lots of ideas and action steps to take back to their congregations.

“We have done very little fundraising at church,” stated one congregational leader after attending this presentation. “This workshop provided an opportunity to better understand ‘faith fundraising.’ [This workshop] has been invaluable.”

Laramore presents an interactive seminar. She explores with participants the landscape of fundraising and why people give. She discusses core actions, delves into the to-do’s of fundraising, explores strategy development and reveals the best ways to track progress.

You’re Invited
Congregational leaders are invited to attend this workshop. There are three more opportunities to attend.  Funding Your Ministry Projects is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in Evansville; Thursday, November 20, 2014 in Seymour; and Thursday, January 22, 2015 in Fort Wayne. Helping Congregations
Laramore’s presentation helps congregations to grow beyond previous ideas about fundraising.

“I have a broader view of fundraising,” reported one participant.

Laramore helps leaders to create effective strategies and resource development programs for a variety of projects. Participants learn to prioritize needs and activities and identify the critical information needed to create action steps for successful fundraising.

She also teaches the effective best practices, tools and techniques for fundraising success. Other facets of funding explored are communication, technology and social media.
