Hello everyone,  I want to invite you to follow up on our excellent conversations from the recent workshop about megachurches and what churches of all sizes can learn from them.  I really enjoyed the discussions and Q&A we had at the workshop - many of your comments have continued to stimulate my thinking.

Additionally after the workshop I had the pleasure to spend 4 days studying one of the churches in our workshop - Eastern Star Church.  That was a great experience.  The church is growing and trying many new things, some of which I talked about in the workshop such as multiple site locations. 

Since we were together, I also traveled to San Diego to spend 5 days with The Rock Church.  This is another very innovative and very rapidly growing congregation.  They began with 3300 persons attending their first service and now after 8 years have over 10,000 in attendance. 

My visit to San Diego had far better weather than Indy's tornados - and I do hope that all you have survived intact from the storms and flooding that week. 

I realized that I didn't make my powerpoint from the workshop available so I've attached it here along with the worksheet that I had on the screen toward the end of the presentation.  I'll say more about that worksheet in a later posting..... Alright, I can't figure out how to attach something to this email so I'll have to post it on the web and give you a url later. sorry.

I'll be in and out on the forum throughout the week and am happy to talk about anything you want to discuss.  Also later in the week I'll want to get your thoughts on what I should include in my lectures next week for a course on "growing healthy congregations."
