Sharing one’s faith is about relationships with others and authentically living out beliefs. Author, pastor and lawyer Martha Grace “Gay” Reese interviewed more than 1,200 people as she studied successful, evangelistic congregations across the country. The book and workshop, both titled Unbinding the Gospel, present a clear-spoken, hopeful vision for a future of sharing faith in Christ.
A former Indianapolis resident, Reese was the director of a four-year, Lilly Endowment-funded research project on successful evangelism in the United States. Reese will share with participants ways to move toward relational, authentic faith sharing — without formulas, but hand-in-hand with God.
All registrants read Reese's book before the workshop and discussed the questions with others in their congregations. The workshop involved a variety of experiential activities, including time to work with congregations' specific questions and interests.
